Aunt Trudy hears...

Aunt Trudy

Aunt Trudy provides news and, well, gossip from Yellow citizens. If you have something you want in the Gazette, just contact yellowgazette@cox.net

Making good use of AW

Korg4god and his friends have got themselves their own world now, but will be maintaining a presence in Yellow. Way to go, folks.

Going Green Contest

The Going Green contest still looks to be on after the conclusion of the EBTS4, still scheduled for May, with the final date to be decided. V4 rights can be won in this contest. We will keep you posted.

EBTS4
Yellow builders active

Seems like there have been a lot of Yellow builders cooking up some juicy bits for the current Extreme Builders contest. Do have a visit and see what you think.

Yellow Builders Guild

The news is that the Yellow Builders Guild will be getting a bit more potent in the coming months. Keep an eye out for them, I hear there are interesting things afoot...

Admiratio news

The bad news is that the Admiratio Hospital has been closed and demolished. The good news is that there is a new cinema complex nearly ready, and the new, revised Admiratio Clinic will be started very soon. Watch out for a mouth watering bakery too!

ActiveWorlds Forums

Did you know that ActiveWorlds has an excellent set of forums? You can visit them by clicking on the URL that appears in the chat box when you first come to Yellow. Be sure to register for the forums. That way you can post and read, rather than just read what others are doing. And be sure to check out the Communities section there; Yellow is one of the featured world communities. It's a very good place to post materials -- other than in the Yellow Gazette, of course!

Everyone invited to anniversary party

Party invite

The first of March saw the grand opening of the Yellow Gazette's new offices.

"The offices will mean that we will be able to cover events in Yellow even better than we have before" said Ozman. "We have better resources, and we've hired the best staff we could get. So as they say in the trade, watch this space," Ozman said.

We also would asked that people working in Yellow, and visitors too, should contact the Gazette with any bits of news about their builds, themselves, events they want to see, or anything of interest. It's easily done, telegram Apooka and or Ozman, or send an email to yellowgazette@cox.net.

The month of April brings more new and exciting things; we are proud to say the Yellow Gazette is now a full year old. And a party will be held for one and all. The details: Saturday 30 April, 9pm VRT; Coordinates: 616.19s 1815.60e -0.03a 89.

Also this month brings to an end the EBTS builders contest. We all look forward to seeing the wonderful creations. Some of the staff have entered the contest, and we wish them well. Fuzzy will be sure to be on hand to take lots of pictures and bring you news of the winners... (check the fuzzy tales for a sneak peek at some of the great builds).

Fuzzy's Tale

Episode 8: Fuzzy At Work

The morning broke clear and very cold. Fuzzy had the blankets pulled up right over his head when this door crashed open and a familiar voice said "Breakfast time you lazy bear. No time for hibernation now!"

"Mmmmph" Fuzzy gurgled. He pulled down the blanket enough to see his sister Magnolia standing there holding a very hot cup of honey flavored herbal tea, and tapping her foot on the floor and smiling, she looked every inch their mother.

"C'mon, sluggard", she said, "Salmon and eggs await".

"Aaargh! OK, Leave the tea here, Petal, and I'll be down in a minute" Fuzzy said.

"It's going to get cold, so get the lead out big bro," she said as she put the tea down on the bedside table. "And Randy is waiting in the kitchen and he has already made his way through half the hotcakes and is eyeing your salmon," Petal added with a warning tone.

Cairo Taxi Drivers

The Egyptian Government has asked the city's taxi drivers to drive around Cairo sounding their car horns. It is hoped that reverting to the familiar soothing sounds of the city will induce a quick return to normality.

Operation Toot 'n Calm 'em will last for the rest of the week.

Editors' note: We apologise for the plague of puns that is infesting the Gazette's office. Proper journalistic language will be back soon.

Our Top Stories

In this issue of the YG, in we feature new builders in Builds of the Month, and we were lucky to get interviews as well. Kuma Bear has built a whole town in Alpha, but also some very intersting builds in Yellow. Paolo and Damares from Brazil have begun working on a very nice farm here. And we were delighted to get an interview and some excellent shots of Doc1's builds, and his invitation to use his dance hall for a party. We've taken him up on that. It's good to see all these folks building in Yellow.

In Building Tips, will be introducing the time and the related at commands. You can do some very interesting things with these!

Fuzzy is now one of the star reporters for the YG, so his work is taking up most of his time. Little Nellie's Garden brings more interesting plant facts and pictures, and Caterer Joe has another mouth watering recipe for you to try out.
